A self-initiated design celebrating 50 years of Hmong people in America.
2025 marks 50 years since Hmong people have arrived in the United States of America. The first Hmong people arrived in the United States in 1975. Since then, our community has persevered, grown, and thrived into the people we are today. These designs were created to commemorate this milestone.
The design was inspired by the cross-stitching found on Hmong paj ntaub (traditional Hmong textile art), which Hmong people carried with them across oceans and generations. It is a reminder that no matter where Hmong people live, their roots are Hmong.

The final design uses magenta and green colors, which are common colors found on Hmong clothing.

The designs are available as digital prints as well! They can be purchased in my online shop. Simply buy, print, and hang them!
