The Collection

467x701_new

On the first day of fifth grade, Duab is assigned a project where she must research and present on an aspect of her heritage. Growing up as a minority, Duab feels uncomfortable talking about her Hmong background and fears everyone at school will make fun of her for being different.

Not only is she dealing with her project, but she is also helping her younger sister in kindergarten adjust to the school food and her mom host a family reunion party.

Follow Duab as she manages to balance her school and home life while uncovering her culture and learning to accept her identity.
