In 2024, I had the honor of being selected as an artist for a curated show at the Center for the Visual Arts gallery in Wausau, Wisconsin. I, along with my curators Dej Txiaj Ntsim Yaj (Koua Mai Yang) and Lee Xiong, spent months curating and preparing for this solo exhibition featuring works from my collection as an artist.
Exhibition Description:
Venture through the imaginative world of Duachaka Her as she explores memories and life transitions. Her’s collection of work navigates through childhood innocence, growing pains, and adulthood, offering a small glimpse into meaning-making at the crossroads of spontaneity and the expected.
The exhibition features comics and art that explores transitions of childhood to adulthood, and the memories and experiences one makes throughout our life.
